University Mode System

BENEFITS OF A UNIVERSITY STYLE SYSTEM

1. FLEXIBLE SCHEDULES

Schedules are set up so classes are 3 days a week. The days spent in school are called “core days.” The other days of the week are considered “satellite days,” where students work on their satellite work at home with their parents.

2. EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Enrolling in extracurricular activities as a home-school parent can be difficult. This model provides some extracurricular activities as part of the curriculum.

• At Our Primary we include A+Students Abacus Maths, Chess, Music Minds, Keywest Sport and Bible class as part of our curriculum. Once a term we include as part of our curriculum:

Rubix Cubing, Drama, Dance, Pottery and Public Speaking.

After Completion of each term, students who enjoy Drama, Hip Hop and Public Speaking,                can continue on an extra mural basis.

•At Our Middle School we include Chess and Bible class as part of our curriculum.

On an Extra Mural basis we offer:

Rubix Cubing, Drama, Hip Hop, Public Speaking and A⁚Students Abacus Maths

•At Our Senior we continue with our weekly History and Geography general knowledge and bible classes.

On an Extra Mural basis we offer:

Rubix Cubing, Drama, Hip Hop and Public Speaking

3. STUDENT-TEACHER RATIO

Public school often has a high student-to-teacher ratio. Our University Style Model offers a  lower student-to-teacher ratio.

4. PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT

Our University Style Model is contingent on parental involvement. This model requires parental involvement assisting students who are on the Core/Satellite option to complete their satellite work.
